There is so much summer activity in our lives, its the idea of maximizing the daylight that puts a serious spin on our thoughts in preparing for the school season and the darker months ahead. But before the Sun goes, soak up the rays by enjoying community festivals like Burning Man and getting together with friends. Not to worry, the garden will continue to flourish when you’re on holiday, even when you ignore it…Ignorance is Bliss. Nature shows us this theory everyday. Have you ever noticed that when we forget to water our tropical plants they thrive with neglect? Well, our body is the same as those plants. When we feel something and choose to ignore the physical sign our body is communicating, we are choosing to feed the dis ease with neglect. Maybe showing up in a gut feeling, dream, subtle body awareness and you still choose to Ignore it, feeding any energy can happen at anytime by taking action or not taking action.
Take our hoop practice for example, sometimes when we work on the same move over and over again, we can create bad habits. This is when its time to ignore that move for a while, let the ignorance feed the mind body connect and in a month, go back to that move. 99% of the time you’ll successfully do the trick with out even thinking about it! It’s an attitude of questioning everything and doing nothing, getting out of the way.
It’s great to free yourself from deeply held beliefs that are no longer in synch, update a dream that’s based on an outdated perspective. There may be a sense of loss, that comes with letting go of the vision, but the letting go frees you up to invest more in what’s viable now, and what’s emerging. In the great ongoing transformation, I’m experiencing an everything must go clearance of many visions I’ve held close to the chest the last couple of years. I like to call them secret inner stories based on old beliefs, that have been somehow comforting. They have been lifesavers in a way, they guided me away from ignorance and into awareness. Now is the time to surrender the attachment and step into a state of vulnerability.
Hooping daily amplifies feeling by keeping me calm, it guides the open imagination and intuition by firmly keeping me grounded in my purpose.
Mind Body awareness are key components to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a daily Hoop Habit is a great way to abolish ignorance, guiding the truth the surface!
